Quest V: One for the ages

I sat in quiet contemplation of the reverie I was experiencing after the first bite of the oddly-shaped semi-circle kebab. Could this be it? Is my questing coming to an end? The golden ratio was excellent. I could take a bite knowing what to expect; no lack of flavor, no solitary overwhelming ingredient. This was an impressive kebab, one of which I certainly was not expecting- especially from a chain.

Perhaps the secret to the perfect kebab is the concoction of chosen ingredients to make it whole, and not blindly ordering a stock option. Perhaps the secret is something more unexpected, like a semi-circle shape for ingredient dispersion. Some chains are difficult to work with. Some are more flexible. Because I was accompanied by two locals who went to battle on my behalf, I was able to get the garlic and dill mixed inside the sandwich instead of on the side. Had they not jousted with the counter maiden, I likely would not have received such a stellar kebab.

The tender chicken and juices marinated the other ingredients to near-perfection. What was once tasteless, sauceless vegetables were now showered with a delicious white glaze that left a satisfying aftertaste. Each bite I was expecting to be met with disappointment and was gleeful to be so wrong.

Honestly, this was a memorable kebab on all accounts. It could have been a statistical anomaly but only time and re-patronage can tell.
